Chapter 350:
Joyce stared blankly in response.
Evelyn's eyes filled with tears at the sight of her daughter's lifeless expression.
She caressed Joyce's cheek gently. “Joyce... Why do you oppose your sister? Without her and your father, we
would have been killed by your biological father. Your sister wants a perfect marriage. Why can’t you just give
her that? Your friend was abandoned as a child and raised in the countryside. It proves that even noble birth
doesn’t guarantee an easy life. She has managed all these years. It’s not too much to ask her to endure a little
longer and let your sister have Kristopher.”
Through her tears, Evelyn begged, “Joyce, if you understand your mistake, please wake up soon, okay? If you
can forget the past, we can still be a happy family of four. Why must you fight with your sister?”
Joyce's face remained pale as she lay on the bed, her eyes shifting slightly.
With great effort, Joyce pulled her hand away from Evelyn's grasp, letting it fall heavily back onto the bed.
Tears streamed down Evelyn's face. “Joyce, why can’t you understand what I'm saying?”
As she dabbed at her tears, the basement door swung open. A servant entered and announced, “Mrs. Miller, Mr.
Cox... He's here with Belinda.” Evelyn stood up abruptly, her face etched with surprise. “Why did he bring her
here?”
In her haste, she failed to notice the subtle change in Joyce. At the mention of “Belinda,” a spark of recognition
flickered in Joyce's eyes.
At Eden View's entrance, Belinda stepped out of the car and gazed up at the villa, its opulent decor gleaming in
the sunlight. A frown crept across her face. There was something about the villa that felt strangely familiar,
although she was certain this was her first visit.
Kristopher stepped out of the car behind her and noticed Belinda staring at the villa, seemingly lost in thought.
He raised an eyebrow and commented, “The decor of this house is quite unique for Nawrin.”

Belinda, not particularly knowledgeable about architecture, suddenly remembered something that Kristopher
had unwittingly triggered. Joyce had once shared with her how she’d searched all over Nawrin for a house that
felt truly like her own.
Her mind drifted back four years. She recalled Joyce sitting on top of a car, a beer can in hand, the sunlight
casting a warm glow over everything.
Joyce had vented her frustrations to Belinda that day. “I asked my mom if she could buya villa in the
suburbs, somewhere my friends and | could live someday. She calledgreedy, always asking for money. Her
husband and my half-sister weren't happy about it either...”
She lifted the beer can to her lips and drained it. “But, Belinda, what other way is there to remind her that I'm
also her daughter?”
A deep sigh escaped her as she
