Chapter 375:
“Kristopher!” Cathy exclaimed, her voice laced with alarm as she gripped the handrail above the door. “You and
Belinda are divorced.” Cathy's emotions surged, and she couldn't hold back. “What are you doing now?”
Kristopher finally eased his foot off the accelerator and turned to look at her with an icy gaze. “I'm going to
settle things with Belinda.”
“Why?” Cathy demanded, her eyes blazing with anger. “Belinda hasn't done anything wrong,” she added firmly.
“Hasn't done anything wrong?” Kristopher scoffed. “She made it look like she left on her own, and we wasted
tsearching for her outdoors. Meanwhile, she’s been enjoying herself with that young man. You call that
innocent?”
Cathy rolled her eyes in frustration. “She never asked us to search for her. Weren't you the one who assumed we
should?”
Cathy let out a sigh, her emotions cooling slightly. “Kristopher, that’s enough. Miss Nelson's affair with Fred is
none of our business. We shouldn’t ruin their evening. Just call Marc and tell him to bring the car back.”
As she spoke, Cathy reached out and gently grasped Kristopher’s arm, her voice softening. “It’s late. | don’t want
anyone else driving me. | want you to takeback, Kristopher...”
She was interrupted by the sudden screech of brakes. The car jerked to a stop.
Kristopher quickly freed his arm from her grasp and pointed across to a black BMW parked on the other side of
the street. “Get out and have the driver take you back.”
After a brief pause, Cathy, still processing the abrupt halt, asked, “What about you? Are you still going to see
Belinda?”
Kristopher paused briefly before admitting, “Yes, | intend to find her.” Fred, just twenty and still a student,

result in future remorse.
Recalling Fred's past employment at a bar and his participation in strip performances for women, Kristopher
questioned whether Belinda was the sole woman of his affections. The possibility of Fred contracting an illness
from another woman raised concerns about the potential pain Belinda might endure.

Kristopher felt compelled to intervene. The sincerity of his words left Cathy feeling despondent. “Kristopher,
please reconsider! Your marriage to Belinda is over! Whether she’s with one man tonight or several, it's no
longer your concern. Why this urgency to track her down?”
Her gaze bore into him with a mix of anger and tears. “And you heard it yourself when you called earlier —
Belinda was already in the shower! Your phone's navigation indicates we're over 18 miles away from that hotel!
Even if you speed up, you'll likely arrive after whatever was planned has already occurred. It's not worth the
effort.”
Kristopher’s eyes shaded slightly at her words. He gazed at Cathy but remained silent. This action made her
