Chapter 235: Chapter 235: Sisi is Missing
Although Mu Chengzhu doesn’t like her now, although she’s with Song Yang now, her heart only belongs to Mu
Chengzhu.
Perhaps the things we can’t have are always the best.
She didn’t feel this before, but now she understands it more and more.
She still hopes Mu Chengzhu would like her, just like in the past, when they were young and innocent, and their
interactions were filled with ambiguity.
Mu Jiayu sighed, "Then I'll apply to the school next to yours."
Nan City University—she couldn’t get into it.
Suddenly, she thought of something: "Do you think Yun Shifei will apply to Nan City University too?"
With her grades, it's actually pretty likely. After all, it’s the best school around here.
Besides, her brother is at that school too.
Yun Shifei says she doesn’t like her brother. Who knows?
Mu Jiayu’s words reminded Yun Sisi, and she suddenly remembered that Yun Shifei probably has a good chance
of scoring well in the college entrance exams.
Three years ago, her grades were awful, always at the bottom of the year. Who would've thought that after two
years of hard work, she'd end up breaking into the top ten of the year?
Hard work really can make up for shortcomings. Even Yun Sisi admired Yun Shifei for this.
But the moment she thought about how Yun Shifei had what should have been hers, an unsettling bitterness
churned within Yun Sisi.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThese days, she constantly wakes up crying from dreams.
In her dreams, she has everything—she’s the beloved little princess of Yun Tiancheng and Xu Ya, and Mu
Chengzhu loved her. They shared years of mutual affection, and later, Mu Chengzhu even dated Yun Shifei to get
closer to her, orchestrating Yun Shifei’s downfall in the process, all to make her the sole daughter of the Yun
Family, protecting her from any grievance.
In the end, she and Mu Chengzhu got married, had a son and a daughter, and lived a fairy tale-like life of
happiness.
The happier her dreams were, the more painful it was when she woke up.
Because upon waking, she realized happiness was just a bubble—fragile and fleeting.
And now, she lives in a cramped rental apartment. In this sweltering summer, she doesn’t even have an air
conditioner, and the heat has caused rash to break out on her back.
How miserable.
This wasn’t supposed to be her life.
Yun Sisi believed that Yun Shifei had stolen everything that should've belonged to her. In the dream where she
had everything—that was supposed to be reality, wasn’t it?
She would work hard to reclaim everything that should have been hers.
Like Mu Chengzhu'’s love for her.
But unfortunately, she now had no choice but to date Song Yang.
She glanced at the time—half past three. Song Yang had promised to meet her for a movie at four. Yun Sisi stood
up and said to Mu Jiayu, "Jiayu, I'll head out now."
"Alright, | need to go too. See you next time."
Yun Sisi nodded.
The two went their separate ways.
Yun Sisi found a nearby public phone booth and called Song Yang to pick her up.
"Alright, Sisi, I'll be there soon."
Yun Sisi hung up the phone and leaned against the wall nearby to wait.
The street was busy with people coming and going—probably because it was the weekend, and many people
were out shopping.
Feeling bored, Yun Sisi suddenly spotted Mu Chengzhu in the crowd.
The young man wore a white T-shirt and was chatting and laughing with his friends.
Even after stime, he still appeared as warm and sunny as ever. His handsface seemed even more
dazzling under the sunlight.
Yun Sisi couldn’t help but chase after him.
"Brother Mu!" she called out.
Hearing Yun Sisi call him, Mu Chengzhu paused and looked at her with slight surprise.
"Brother Mu, what a coincidence running into you here."
Mu Chengzhu nodded.
"Where are you guys heading?"
Even though Yun Sisi knew their relationship had been tense, she didn’t care.
Her principle since childhood had been: as long as she was thick-skinned, no problem was truly a problem.
She carried an air of classical grace—her every move like water and flowers, pure and delicate.
But compared to Yun Shifei, her appearance was less striking.
Mu Chengzhu couldn't help but compare Yun Sisi with Yun Shifei.
It seemed he preferred someone like Yun Shifei.
Someone timid yet obedient, but who occasionally showed her claws.
As for Yun Sisi—she appeared gentle and sweet, but unfortunately, her thoughts were too scheming.
He hadn't even realized her intentions before. Once he discovered her true nature, Mu Chengzhu started keeping
his distance.
But since Yun Sisi wasn’t causing trouble now, Mu Chengzhu simply replied, "I'm heading to play basketball with
my friends."
"Can | cand watch?" Yun Sisi asked.
Before Mu Chengzhu could respond, one of his university friends eagerly said, "Of course, little sister, come
along."
Who wouldn't like a pretty girl? Especially one so sweet and gentle—she was adorable.
Mu Chengzhu’s friend answered for him on the spot.
Yun Sisi smiled, feeling pleased, and turned to Mu Chengzhu. "It’s been forever since | watched Brother Mu play
basketball! | was just talking to Jiayu earlier—if I'd known I'd run into you, | would've invited Jiayu along."
Mu Chengzhu gave a faint smile but said nothing.
Yun Sisi then chatted and laughed with Mu Chengzhu'’s friends all the way to the basketball court.
Meanwhile, Song Yang arrived on his bike at the location Yun Sisi had mentioned.
She had told him to meet her at the phone booth, but when he searched the area, he couldn't find any sign of
Yun Sisi.
Given Yun Sisi’s striking appearance, it should've been impossible to miss her in the crowd.
