Chapter 50
He clicked his tongue, hesitated for a few seconds, then handed her a handkerchief.
She was probably frightened and, having just changed her living environment, felt like walking on eggshells; her
fingertips trembled as she took the handkerchief.
Charles glanced at her fingertips: pale, delicate, and soft.
She radiated a pitiful aura from head to toe.
In this circle, it was like a lamb walking into a wolf pack.
He was too tired of hearing the crying and lifted his foot to leave.
The uptight one followed but froze on the spot, feeling awkward after he gave a sharp glare.
Pretty cute.
But goodbye, she becso proper, like a product coming off the assembly line at the Grant residence.
Completely boring.
Back to the present, Sophie's fingertips were still wrapped around his wrist.
Charles pulled at his collar and yanked her close.
Excitement flashed in Sophie's eyes. “Charles?”
He casually pushed aside the empty private room next to them, gripped the back of her neck, and pressed her
against the door.
Having followed him for so long, Sophie knew well that he liked to play with thrills.
Probably because that boring old nag over there wouldn't play along with him.
Charles likes to control everything, both in and out of bed.
Sophie was exhausted after being tossed around for four hours; by the tit ended, it was already past
midnight.
Charles lit a cigarette, his peripheral vision fixed on her.
She swallowed nervously, watching him blow out a smoke ring while casually draping his suit jacket over his
elbow, giving off that refined rogue vibe again.
“Charles...”
“It's late. Let's go back.”

Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSophie breathed a sigh of relief; this meant it wasn’t over yet-otherwise, he would have already sent her off with
his bank card.
Her heart warmed, and a smile curved at the corner of her mouth.
She would rise to the top sooner or later.
By then, Charles was sober. As he got into the car, he impatiently tugged off his tie.
Back at Moonbay Estate, he saw Yolanda asleep on the sofa in the lobby.
He grabbed a nearby blanket and casually covered her before heading upstairs.
The next morning, Charles received a call from his sister, Renee, her voice filled with panic.
“Bro, cback home. Mom and Dad are fighting.”
Charles rubbed his forehead; he had been busy all week dealing with the kidney donor issue.
His parents had never had any problems in their relationship, so why would they suddenly fight?
He freshened up and asked Yolanda to go with him to the Sinclair manor.
Renee was full of surprise when she saw him, but when her gaze landed on Yolanda, it turned to disdain.
“Why are you here too?”
Charles looked toward the living room. The coffee table was scattered with broken cups, showing that the fight
was intense this time.
He went upstairs and just reached the study door when he heard May's voice.
“Don’t think | don’t know. You must have gone to see that bitch’s kid! If Charles finds out, your strict father
image is ruined. Dylan Sinclair, I've been with you for so many years, and you're still hung up on that bitch. |
won't let you off, | won't let you off!”
Charles’s hand paused at the door.
Dylan’s tone was cold, holding back his anger, “Stop acting up. What nonsense are you spouting in front of the
kids?!”
“Nonsense? I've seen that kid myself. Fine, back when | confronted him, you were the one secretly sabotaging
me, weren't you? If you deny it, I'll have someone run that bastard down tomorrow!”
“Slap!”
The sound of the slap echoed throughout the room.
Since Charles could remember, he had never heard his parents argue this seriously. They had always been a
model couple admired in their circle.

The cry of May cfrom inside.
Charles knocked on the door; the crying stopped instantly, and May wiped her tears.
The study door opened. Charles looked at his father sitting in the chair and his mother standing nearby.
The atmosphere around them was tense. May looked up, took a deep breath, and said, “Charles, when did you
get here?”
Charles suddenly chuckled, “Dad, did you just have an illegitimate child?”
“You bastard!”
Dylan threw the teacup at Charles, hitting his forehead. Blood instantly started to flow down.
May began to scream,’ shielding Charles in front of her. “Are you crazy?!”
After calming down, Dylan frowned and said, “Call Tommy to take a look.”
Yolanda had been waiting downstairs. After Renee Sinclair said a few snide remarks, the Sinclair family doctor
arrived.
When Charles cdown the stairs, his forehead was covered in blood.
She was a bit surprised-was the argument really that intense?
Renee Sinclair was scared to tears and immediately called Wyatt Sinclair.
Charles kept his eyes closed and showed no expression while being bandaged.
Sometimes, Yolanda just can’t figure this guy out.
Charles seems to be gentle and cold with everyone.
May kept crying by the side but refused to say a word.
Yolanda has been married into the Sinclair manor for two years, but this is the first tshe has encountered this
kind of atmosphere.
When Dylan cdown, Charles’s forehead had already been bandaged.
Wyatt Sinclair had three sons and one daughter. The struggle among the three sons was fierce. As the eldest,
Dylan was very capable, and Charles, whom he raised, was also a fierce competitor in the business world.
But Dylan was very cold.
Unlike Charles, who used gentleness as a disguise, Dylan's coldness and seriousness were ingrained in his
bones.
Yolanda has been married here for two years but has rarely seen him.

May, his wife, had always been respectful and fearful toward him, but today she blatantly tore their relationship
apart, which meant something serious had happened.
Dylan placed sdocuments on the coffee table. “The BlueWave Shipping route is yours to handle. Once you
resolve the issues, this route will be under your management from now on.”
Wyatt Sinclair's three sons held nearly equal power, and the competition,g them was fierce.
As the new heir of Sinclair manor, Charles faced constant threats underfoot. He currently had the most
management power but was also restrained by his two uncles, having survived hundreds of assassination
attempts since childhood.
Though Wyatt Sinclair seemed kind, he essentially let things be. Only those who emerged victorious from the
wolf pack’s last fight were fit to survive in this predator-filled world.
