The car door slammed shut, and Yolanda was pulled tightly into lan’s arms.
lan buried his face in her neck, inhaling deeply, as if trying to memorize her scent.
Outside, people were bustling around the set, coming and going. Yolanda felt a bit uneasy and raised her hand to
gently push lan away.
But lan was already tracing her neck with his teeth, slowly and deliberately, his touch lingering on her skin.
“lan Foster!” Yolanda snapped, her voice sharp with embarrassment.
Yolanda snapped, her voice tight with embarrassment. lan quickly let go, looking up at her, his eyes burning with
longing-there was no way to hide how he felt.
Yolanda straightened her clothes, then asked with a teasing smile, “Do you like it? The stuput this look
together just for you. I'll be spending a lot more twith you from now on, so just focus on your acting for now.
Your fis growing, but you still need sreal work to back it up-it’s just hype for now.”
lan pulled her into his arms again, holding her close. “Mm-hmm,” he murmured, not wanting to let go.
Yolanda reached up and gently pinched his ear. “Alright, Zack White's show is already airing, and the ratings are
looking good. The photos from that coffee commercial you did just cout too. For your next endorsements, I'll
help you pick carefully-we’re aiming for you to be seen as a real actor, not just a pretty face. | don’t want you to
burn through your hype too soon.”
If lan got lumped in with the idol actors, his popularity would run out sooner or later, and it'd be tough for him to
switch gears and beca serious actor down the line.
Right now, lan was juggling two roles with totally different personalities, and he was pulling off both with ease.
The sky was the limit for him now.
“Yolanda, | just got a flood of new fans all of a sudden. Shouldn't we celebrate?” lan said, his voice low and
playful.
He'd brought it up yesterday too, and today Yolanda finally had sfree time, so she whipped out her phone
and started searching for somewhere good to eat nearby.
But lan leaned in, his lips almost brushing her ear as he whispered, “Does that spot down there miss me?”
Yolanda’s hand trembled, and she almost dropped her phone, but lan was quick and caught it before it could
fall.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHis long fingers curled around the phone, and he fixed her with those dark, starry eyes.
“I'm thirsty,” he murmured, his tone full of mischief.
Yolanda’s cheeks went scarlet. She still wasn’t used to sneaking around with lan like this, especially behind
Charles’s back and out in public.

‘Honestly, lan makes a pretty damn good side guy,’ Yolanda thought to herself.

Yolanda felt her whole body flush with heat. She shoved lan away, got out, and marched straight to the driver's
seat. Without another word, she slammed her foot on the gas.
lan caught a glimpse of her through the gap in the seat, then leaned back, closed his eyes, and let a small smile
tug at his lips.
Yolanda pulled up to lan’s place and grabbed a stack of scripts she’d gotten over the past couple of days.
These were all small-tprojects, the kind that cin when the public opinion was still against lan. The
directors were just trying to cash in on his controversial reputation-good or bad, fwas still fame.
Yolanda wasn’t impressed with any of them, but her stuwas still small, and she didn’t want to burn any
bridges. So she’d taken them all, figuring she might as well sift through them and see if anything stood out.
lan watched as Yolanda carefully sorted through the scripts. He crouched down beside her, looking up at her with
a soft, almost needy gaze.
Yolanda frowned, feeling his stare was a little too complicated. “What's with that look?” she asked.
lan rested his hand on her knee. “How about we stop hiring new people? Letbe the one to make money for
you.”
Guys in their twenties were always so damn possessive.
Yolanda hadn't really noticed it before, but now she finally saw it for what it was.
She held the script in her hand, her expression calm. “Say something like that again and I'll just hire a new agent
to keep you in line.”
lan’s fingers tightened on her knee, and his lips pressed into a thin line.
He knew he was asking for too much.
“Yolanda's just in this for fun,” he thought to himself.
His gaze darkened. ‘Wasn't she supposed to be the sweet, innocent type? Guess she can be pretty damn
ruthless when she’s just playing around,” he thought bitterly.
Yolanda spent half an hour going through the scripts. When she noticed lan had gone quiet, she could tell
she’d hit a nerve with what she said.
But honestly, she just wasn’t in the mood for any of that right now.
Yolanda stood up and set the room key on the table. “Raclyn’s agent gavethis-it’s her idea. You can decide if
you want to go. As your boss, I'm not going to force you to cozy up to anyone, but | also don’t want to keep you
on such a tight leash that you never get to socialize with other women. Raelyn’s pretty picky—I checked, and
there aren't many guys she’d actually make a move on. So, think it over.”
After that, Yolanda pulled out another card-it was her bank card.

“There's two million dollars in there. I'll handle all your living expenses-food, clothes, rent, you nit. You've
been rocking that all-black look lately, and it suits you. Stick with the bad boy vibe it'll
save you from those awkward moments with the press when you don’t know what to say.”
With his killer looks and solid acting, lan could just stand there and the public would already forgive him for
anything.
He didn’t even have to sweet-talk anyone-fans would flock to him no matter what.
lan stared at the two cards on the table and didn’t say a word.
Yolanda wasn’t expecting an answer from him just yet. She glanced at her phone and said, “Raelyn’s waiting for
you tonight. I'm in touch with her agent on WhatsApp-if you're not planning to go, just givea heads- up so |
can let them know.”
lan picked up the room key, his tone cool. “If | go sleep with someone else, | won't really belong to you anymore.
Would you still wantthen?”
Yolanda felt her throat tighten. Whenever the topic turned to men and women, lan always made himself sound
so unworthy.
Sometimes, she almost believed he actually cared about her.
But how could that be? Before she decided to get back to work, she'd only met lan once-and she could barely
even remember his face. They hadn't even been in touch during their two-year marriage. There was no way he
could actually have feelings for her.
She'd long since stopped expecting anything from men. Her career was all that mattered now.
But lan was young, and he needed a straight answer. “Don’t you want to be my first?” he asked, his voice low
and direct.
Even when Yolanda was crazy about Charles, she never dared to be this blunt.
She pressed her lips together, saying nothing.
lan set the room key down on the table and slowly pushed it back to her. “I'm not taking this,” he said, his voice
low but firm.
Then he grabbed her bank card. “But this two million? Guess that makesyour kept man now.”
