The Alpha was soon joiningin bed and pulling the covers he settled into the soft bed givinga small smile
which Teturned. He sighed heavily before turning his frso he was facing the ceiling
“Thaven't attended the Solace since my mate's death, it just felt pointless. The Solace is a festival that brings
families and friends together and it felt like | had no family to spend it with anymore. So | always visited her
grave instead.” He responded and a deep feeling in my chest began.
“I'm sorry.”
“For what?” He asked turning to look atwith furrowed brows
“I took away that tradition from you.”
“No Freya, you can’t say that. You have no idea how happy it madeto be able to take you both to the
festival.”

1 remained silent to these words because | had nothing else to say. The Alpha let out a heavy say and then he
was back to watching the ceiling.
“The Solace is made for people to bond and that was exactly what you and Jessy did to me. | was able to bond
with you both and | had a lot of fun what else could | ever ask for? Or what else could | ever want? So just stop
saying that okay?”
| nodded my head in response and watched the rise and fall of his chest distractingly,
The Alpha suddenly turned and then his eyes were trained on mine. He just continued to watchsilently and
then | gave him a small smile which he happily returned.
“Con, go get dressed. Let's go somewhere.” He said suddenly and | furrowed my brows in confusion.
“Where are we going?” | asked, already moving out of the bed.
“If I tell you wouldn't that take away the fun from it? Go get dressed Freya and meetin the living area.” He
ordered and | smiled at the thought of going somewhere with the Alpha again
I hurried out of the room, smiling to myself when | heard the Alpha’s chuckle. The house was surprisingly quiet
already. It wasn’t that late but | knew that most of the maids had stayed up till this morning having fun quietly.
So after a hard day’s job | knew that they would be exhausted. | walked past Christie's room, smiling to myself
when | heard Jessy’s voice. | couldn’t make out what she was saying but it madesmile.
The moment | was inside my room, | quickly slipped on a pair of jeans and a sweater from the new set the Alpha
had gotten for me. Slipping on sshoes, | ran my fingers through my hair thanking the Goddess silently when
my hair actually cooperated withand stayed in place.
| hurried back out of the room and to my surprise the Alpha was standing already in the living area all dressed
up. He stretched out a hand forto take and I did exactly that.
We walked in silence outside and into his car where we took off to this surprise place.
The car ride was silent and although | wanted to break the silence at different points | couldn’t bring myself to do
it because the Alpha’s expression kept changing. One moment his brows were furrowed and in the next moment
his lips were pursed
| was scared to ask him what could be running through his mind because | didn’t know what the answer to that
was going to
