Chapter 715
From the moment Marguerite learned about Yuna's actions, her emotions had been anything but calm.
She wanted justice for Penelope, which is why she planned for Yuna to be arrested right there at Penelope's
graveside, on the day of her funeral. In Marguerite's mind, there was no such thing as a "suspect." She was
convinced that Yuna was the murderer! Absolutely convinced! So, she had to make Yuna confess, right in front of
Penelope!
But she couldn't just spell it out to Abbey. After all, given Abbey's position as a police officer, acting on such
impulse might seem unreasonable. She had to play on emotions:
"Ms. Abbey, Penelope's funeral is in two days. Yuna, being her only daughter, and after Penelope had searched
for her for so many years, wouldn't it be ironic if she didn't attend? So, whether she's the murderer or not, she

Suddenly, Abbey went quiet. It seemed that both emotionally and logically, she found it hard to refuse
Marguerite's request. "Alright, I'll agree to it. But with Yuna being a suspect, she poses many potential dangers.
So, I'll have undercover officers follow her closely, and you be careful these next few days."
That call drained Marguerite. It wasn't until she hung up that she finally let her guard down, leaning weakly
against the balcony railing, nearly collapsing. She felt like she was on the verge of breaking down, a huge weight
pressing on her chest, wanting to scream and let it all out.
But Teresa and Hayes were still in the room, and she hadn't yet had the courage to tell Hayes about Penelope's
death. That was his grandmother. How could she bear to see the little guy heartbroken?
After spending the morning recuperating at the Winston Mansion, Marguerite finally mustered the strength to go
to work at Poppy Petal Fragrances. At that time, Frederick was buried in work. When Marguerite walked in, he
didn't even look up, just said:
"Got enough rest? Taking leaves like it's going out of fashion, Poppy Petal Fragrances will go under because of
you."
"Yeah." Marguerite had been silently crying all morning, her voice nasal as she hummed a reply. Frederick
paused, sensing something off about Marguerite. Why was her voice so nasal? He glanced up at Marguerite and
saw her red, swollen eyes.
"Have you been crying?"
Marguerite kept a straight face: "No, I might have caught a cold."
"Colds make your eyes swell?"

"It's because | drank too much water before bed last night. By the way, where's Yuna? | haven't seen her
around."
"She's at the Fitzgerald family, getting stherapy."
"She's not coming in these days?"
"Yeah. Since you disagreed with firing Violet, she's been hiding out at home." Marguerite bristled: "Violet didn't
do anything wrong. It's the guilty one who hides!" Frederick's sharp gaze fixed on Marguerite: "There's more to
what you're saying." "You'll find out in two days."
Marguerite met his gaze, and she had to admit, Frederick was shrewd, as if nothing could escape his notice. But
Marguerite wasn't planning on revealing the truth to him just yet, especially with Penelope's funeral still two
days away.
Just two more days. Frederick, no, everyone! Everyone would cto know about Yuna's deeds! That day would
surely be one Yuna would never forget!
