Chapter 826
He didn't want anyone to see him walking with these two people.
Sarah and Melvin exchanged glances. "Fine."
St. Ritz Restaurant.
In a corner private room, Sarah and Melvin sat on one side while Dr. Xavier sat across from them.
Without question, St. Ritz had the strongest confidentiality in all of East Coast.
After the dishes were served, Melvin had the waitstaff close the door and hang a "Do Not Disturb" sign.
"Dr. Xavier, can you talk now?" Melvin asked.
Dr. Xavier hurriedly grabbed the cup in front of him and took a heavy gulp of tea before speaking anxiously, "I
can tell you what you want to know, but you have to giveback those files."
Those investigation materials worried him deeply they could destroy him.
"Dr. Xavier, | think you've forgotten that you're in no position to negotiate with me. Now, telleverything
about Tina's case, every single detail." Melvin's eyes erupted with endless coldness.
Dr. Xavier swallowed hard. How had he forgotten that this wasn't an exchange?
He'd already drained his cup, so he immediately picked up the teapot and refilled it. Only after finishing these

such a height, nearly every bone in her body was broken. So no one would notice the strange wounds. The fact
that you even spotted the bruising on her back... Actually, even though I'm not a crscene expert, | could tell
that day on the rooftop that there were definitely signs of a struggle. If | could be bought off, it means someone
from the investigation team was probably bought off too."
His thoughts drifted further away, as if returning to that day.
"Dr. Xavier hurry! A girl fell from the twentieth floor! The police station doesn't have a medical examiner
available-we need your help his colleague had said. s
He immediately packed his things and followed the police to the crscene. The whole way there, all he
could think about was being

reported. That family had set
thought of every way to get back at him. The only reason he hadn't been fired yet was the lack of direct
evidence. s
At the crscene, he witnessed a horrific sight-the girl lying face-up on the ground, a pool of blood beneath
her.
Passersby had already gathered around, talking among themselves, clearly unsure what had happened.
Police were struggling to hold back a woman who was desperately trying to break
through, screaming, "Letin! That's my daughter! Tina!"
Her cries echoed throughout the entire residential complex, moving every onlooker.
Dr. Xavier put on gloves and began
examining the deceased. "No
obvious signs of struggle. Death
confirmed pupils dilated, heartbeat, stopped, no breathing. No signs of life" s
He recited these words mechanically.
After confirming these details, he didn't have much else to do. There were no professional tools here-the detailed
examination would clater.
The police took the body away while he remained in a daze. Besides thinking
about the heart situation, he was also worried about his loans.
To obtain that heart, he'd paid enormous sums. The surgery itself required money,
and heart transplant procedures would cost even more.
So he'd been forced to borrow from loan sharks. Though the surgery was successful, he'd been dragged deep
into the mud.
If the heart theft was discovered, he might go straight to prison. But even if it remained hidden, he was still
trapped in the quicksand of high-interest debt.
