Chapter 842
"No," Sarah said seriously. "What they have isn't just attention. It's traffic."
Melvin's eyes lit up in realization. He chuckled. "Got it."
Soon after, the news spread like wildfire:
"Live from the heart of the entertainment district: Pine Mist Island Resort is throwing a massive Christmas gala!
Celebrities, fireworks, fan meet-and-greets- you nit. The only way in? Reach a spending threshold at Pine
Mist Island. Full details available on Sanders Group's official channels..."
The East Coast went nuts. So did the internet.
Under Sanders Group's announcement, the comments section exploded. The invited celebrity lineup had already
been posted, and the offer was irresistible: a completely free party-food, drinks, entertainment, even star
interactions.
Especially for die-hard fans, it was a dream. People rushed to book rooms and hit the required spending level.
Within half an hour, the resort's front desk was flooded with calls-nearly all of them room reservations.
The hype didn't die down for two whole days. In that short time, Pine Mist Island's revenue had already caught
up to what Harbour Crescent Island usually made in a month.
Vivian was furious, practically grinding her teeth. Mr. Wilson, on the other hand, looked intrigued as he read the
announcement.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Well now," he muttered, "the Sanders Group's pulling sbold moves."
Vivian grew anxious. If things kept going like this, Harbour Crescent Island would start losing money fast.
After a moment, she spoke up. "Grandpa, maybe we should host our own Christmas gala? The celebrities we can
bring in are just as famous as theirs."
Mr. Wilson gave her a hard look. "And what, do you think people are excited for sloppy seconds?"
Vivian froze.
His voice turned cold. "Vivian, you'd better remember the lesson from last time. You can't afford another screw-
up."
The Hanhai debacle had already pushed the family to the edge. One more misstep could be disastrous.
Vivian nodded solemnly. "I understand, Grandpa."
Later that night, Vivian sat at a bar with Leon. She filled him in on what had happened with Pine Mist Island,
expecting at least soutrage. Instead, he laughed.
"You're laughing?" she snapped, clearly irritated.
Leon shook his head, still smirking. "I'm just thinking... that sounds exactly like something Sarah would cup
with."
Vivian rolled her eyes. "After everything she's done to you, you still like her?"
"You don't get it," he said calmly. "When something means nothing to you, it can dance right in front of your
face, and you wont even care. But once you want it... the harder it is to get, the more you want it."
s
He paused, then added with a dark undertone, "And if | can't have it... destroying
it works just as well."
Vivian gave a cold laugh. "I knew it. A man like you was never going to stay soft over a woman. I'm honestly
surprised you've held out this long."
Leon's face tightened. "Enough about that. What's your plan now?"
Vivian took a slow sip of her Bloody Mary. "I suggested hosting a star-studded event. My grandfather shot it down
immediately. So now I've got to cup with something else." s
She gripped her glass tightly, the chill grounding her. She had to stay focused- panicking wouldn't get her
anywhere.
Leon thought for a moment, then
said, "We could try something that works back in Country H. Resorts there often host themed
experiences one of the mostel
successfuls a high-end goum
festival. Premium wine, luxury food, global dishes. The whole thing screams exclusivity." s
Vivian raised a skeptical brow. "You think that'd actually work?"
"There's one more piece," Leon added. "You still bring in celebrities—but instead
of a party, you make it a concert in the middle of the food festival."
"A concert?" Vivian repeated, considering it. She let the word sit for a moment, then smiled slowly. "Not bad.
That might actually work. You just gavethe perfect idea."
