Chapter 1287
"Sydney, you've got snerve, messing with the Medical Hall's exam like that!" Corbyn slammed his fist on the
table, his anger palpable. Did she think the exam was skind of child's game? Pulling stunts here of all
places. If Flora hadn't been around by sheer luck, Sydney would have fooled them all, and Corbyn might have
even taken her on as an apprentice. That would have turned the Medical Hall into a laughingstock across the
Martial World. "Corbyn, | messed up, | admit it!" Sydney knew she couldn't talk her way out of this one. She
covered her face, pleading, "I didn't mean to, | just lost my head for a moment, please, just this once..."
She was genuinely sobbing now, but not out of remorse-she was terrified of the punishment looming over her.
Despite her tears, Corbyn and the other senior members remained unmoved, their eyes filled with disdain.
"Sydney, you have talent. Even without resorting to these dirty tricks, you could have cout on top. But

was a letdown. "I'm truly sorry, Master, please forgive me..." Sydney begged.
Corbyn, disgusted, pushed her away. "The Medical Hall has no room for cheats. Sydney, for your dishonesty in
the exam, you're expelled from the Medical Hall, never to return! Get her out of here!"
With that, Sydney's journey in medicine hit a dead end. She crumbled, weeping on the floor. Amos, who had
been waiting outside, cin to drag her away.
"Hold on," a lazy, cool voice interrupted. Flora rose gracefully to her feet.
"Flora, please, speak to the Master for me! Please, I'm begging you!" Sydney cried out, seeing Flora as her last
hope. If anyone could sway Corbyn, it was Flora.
Desperation filled Sydney's eyes, and she didn't care about the humiliation. She just wanted to stay. "Please,
help me, | beg you..."
Sydney lay there like a defeated
animal, pleading for Flora's mercy. Flora raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile spreading across her face as she
picked up the prescription from the floor.
"Why are you so jumpy, sister?" Flora's voice was low and amused, her smile captivating. "Why do you take
everything | say at face value?" She met Sydney's teary eyes, her smile widening, her tone playful and daring, as
if she were teasing. "This is just an ordinary piece of paper, nothing special about it."

Flora did own sspecial paper, a gift from Connor after the Lone
Island medical competition, but they were back in Austenberg. She cto the Martial World empty-handed.

Even without trickery, Flora had a myriad of ways to make Sydney confess, to break her down completely.
Just an ordinary piece of paper!!! Sydney was stunned, her disbelief boiling over. "Flora, you tricked me!" she
cried out, her voice a mix of anger and despair.
Watching Sydney's breakdown, Flora tore the prescription into pieces with her delicate fingers, then flicked them
onto Sydney's face.
"You've been played, fool," Flora said with a smirk.
