They had always pegged Warner as a ticking tbomb with his arrogance and grandiosity, but they hadn't

anticipated his downfall would cso swiftly!

"Was it your team that followed Warner and unearthed this mess, Aaron?" Evadne asked, curiosity piqued.

"No, it was an anonymous tip that led us to Warner's stash of contraband in the warehouse. And not just that, we

found the bodies of two S-Star Group members in a cargo ship belonging to the Bright Group docked nearby!"

Their eyes widened in shock!

"The bodies were preserved in cold storage, so they hadn't decomposed. It seems they were planning to

smuggle them out of the country for disposal. After all, EImsworth is crawling with our eyes and ears, and

cameras are everywhere. Disposing of two bodies wouldn't have been easy."

Aaron's voice dropped, "Upon autopsy, as expected, the cause of death was drug poisoning!"

Thaddeus furrowed his brows, his gaze deepening:

"Aaron, you guys have been tailing Warner for over a month with no leads. And

now, suddenly, someone comes forward with crucial information about his stash of illegal drugs."

Evadne, in sync with him, chimed in:

"Moreover, bodies were found on a Bright Group ship nearby. It's too coincidental. It all seems like someone's

setting a trap!"

Aaron took a deep breath, his voice turning somber, "The Bright Group is now confirmed as the largest supplier

of illegal drugs in Emsworth. Not only have we busted their operation, but employees at the warehouse and

Warner's personal assistant have confessed to the illegal drug trade.

However, they vehemently deny any murders or hiding bodies, claiming ignorance about the source of the two

bodies. We're still digging into this."

"Aaron, are you okay?" Evadne sensed something was off, her concern evident. After all, the Bright group was

Suri's family business.

York's eye," Evadne's voice wavered, touched by the sentiment.

Evadne clutched Thaddeus' hand, her eyes swimming with worry, "Thaddeus, you stay in EImsworth to gather

more intel. | need to go htonight and be there for Suri."

Thaddeus squeezed her hand in return, nodding slightly, "Alright, callif you need anything, anytime."

York collapsed in a fit of rage and was rushed to the hospital, while the police detained Zachary for questioning,

his hair practically turning white before he was allowed to leave, slapped with a travel ban from leaving

Elmsworth until the case was settled.

As Zachary was about to slip into his car, shielded by his secretary and bodyguards, a rotten egg flew out of

nowhere, splattering on his head! "Experimenting on people like lab rats? You monsters! Have you no shame?"

"Killing innocents for your drug trials! Have your hearts turned to stone?!"

"I'll never buy from Bright Biopharmacy again! Boycott the Bright Group!" Zachary's face turned beet red as he

ducked into the car, the luxury vehicle speeding away.

The car was filled with the stench of rotten egg, making even the driver nauseous.

"Sir, should we head hfirst for a shower and change of clothes before visiting Mr. York Bright?" the secretary

asked timidly.

Zachary, finally dropping his usual genteel facade, lashed out in a fit of rage, slapping the secretary and venting

all his humiliation and anger from the rotten egg incident.

"Have you lost your mind?! With everything at stake, you're worried about a shower and changing clothes?! We

need to get to the hospital and see him, now!"

Then he asked, "Did the lawyer meet with Warner? What did he say?!"

The secretary, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, replied, "He said, Warner confessed without a fight to

hiding contraband and distributing large quantities of drugs to gangs like the S-Star Group. He admitted to

everything!" Zachary's mind reeled in shock, furious, he demanded: "Why didn't he rat out the supplier behind

the drugs? Has he lost his mind or what?!"

"That's the crazy part!"

The secretary was just as baffled, "Warner's not the type to take the heat like this! Especially now, if he doesn't

shift the blame, he could be facing a decade or more in prison! Sure, Warner didn't kill anyone himself, and it

wasn't narcotics he was selling, but the attorney mentioned that the whole ‘human testing’ trend caused a

"Shut your cursed mouth!" Zachary snapped, slapping the secretary again. But as anxious as he was, a dark

sense of relief crept into his heart.

After all, Warner's involvement in this shady business was something he had tacitly allowed and supported. If his

son cracked under the pressure and turned him in, the Bright Group would be utterly ruined.

As long as he stood his ground, they weren't at a dead end yet. There was still a chance for a turnaround!

Upon arriving at the hospital, Zachary quickly washed up in the restroom before hurrying to the VIP ward to see

York.

"Dad, I'm here."

As Zachary entered the ward, he stopped dead in his tracks.

There, by the bed, was Suri, attentively feeding York porridge.
