Chapter 32 Half an hour later, the door opened, and Zion appeared.
Selena was still asleep, so to avoid disturbing her and fearing she might be pretending, I asked Zion to step outside for a private conversation.

He knew about Selena buyingclothes, and as he stared at what I was wearing for a long time, his expression was a mix of resignation, reluctance, and even a hint of anger.
I wasn't sure why he claimed to be so busy-perhaps he was handling work matters while Selena was out of the picture. Understanding the pressure of a full schedule, I didn't beat around the bush with him.
"What happened to the scars on Selena's back?" "You don't know how she got those scars?" Zion looked surprised, his gaze showing confusion. "Hudson, you really didn't know there were scars on her back?" Seeing his shocked expression, I felt a bit lost myself. Should I have known about the scars on her body? Or were they something she had for a long tthat I missed? Suddenly, a realization hit me, and I felt a bit of my pride wounded, especially in front of Zion. After hesitating for a while, I explained, "I haven't been intimate with her for a long time, so I had no idea what her back looked like." As I grasped the situation, I frowned. "Are the scars on her back old? How did she get them? Zion, you need to explain this toclearly." Sighing as he looked into my eyes, Zion finally began to explain.
Selena suffered from bipolar disorder, and when an episode hit, no one could stop it—not even Zion himself. To prevent her from hurting others or herself, he had no choice but to tie her up until she was exhausted enough to sleep deeply, at which point he would untie her and put her in bed.
I found it strange but couldn't pinpoint why. "Is it really that serious when she has an episode?" Thinking back to Selena's state over the past few days and her behavior during episodes, I frowned. While she could be troublesduring an episode, she was still manageable.

Hearing my skepticism, Zion seemed frustrated. He stared at me, eyes wide with indignation. "That's because you're Hudson. She can't let go of you, which is why she holds back with you."
I found it hard to believe Zion's words. Maybe I could have once unconditionally believed in Selena's loverfor love for me, but ever since he entered the picture, I couldn't bring myself to trust her completely.
How could I trust her? Trust in what? Trust that Selena truly lovedandand no one else? Forget it, people needed to have sself-awareness, especially considering who I was dealing with-Selena. Once trust was broken, it was tough to rebuild.
"Selena is still hung up on you. She can't imagine living without you, yet look at you, Hudson just a few months apart, and you've already found someone new," Zion said with resentment.
