Chapter 852
The Sanders family didn't make things hard for the media either. In fact, they thoughtfully arranged for each
celebrity to stop by for a quick interview-drawn at random to avoid any status disputes or fights over the "final
spotlight" slot.
When each media guest arrived, they were informed that fixed cameras had already been set up throughout the
outdoor banquet area. If needed, they could request full event footage afterward.
Reporters and cameramen attending the party were also welcto set down their gear and simply join in the
fun. Even if they didn't get exclusive content, they could still use footage from the island's preset camera feeds.
That thoughtful setup immediately warmed the hearts of the media crew-and a few reporters had already started
blending in.
Sarah looked over everything, clearly pleased. "So, Melvin, what do you think?"
"You always cup with the best ideas. I'm not surprised," Melvin said calmly. "What I'm more curious about is
how the Wilsons are handling it."
Sarah grinned. "If you're that curious, just check the news. Someone's already livestreaming the whole thing-
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtboth resorts’ Christmas events."
Melvin raised an eyebrow. "Ours too?"
Sarah pointed to the cameras nearby. "Right there. And over there. Plenty."
Before they could even pull out their phones, a burst of laughter interrupted them.
"Sarah!" Mia cskipping over, laughing so hard she was nearly in tears. "You won't believe what's going on
over at Harbour Crescent. You have to see it for yourself."
She held out her phone. Sarah leaned in and saw a live stream from the Wilsons' event-it was clearly a big
production, also held outdoors, set up almost identically to theirs.
A circle of food stations surrounded a central concert stage... but hardly anyone was there.
Sarah wasn't surprised. The moment the Wilsons released the guest list, she had a feeling the event was going
to flop.
Still, she hadn't expected the turnout to be this bad.
At that exact moment, Vivian was in the office at Harbour Crescent, slamming her laptop shut.
"I handed this whole thing to you, and this is what you cup with? Go downstairs and count for yourself-how
many people even showed up?"
What frustrated her more was that she'd spent a fortune on media
coverage, inviting.a ton of
journalists But even the camera
crews seemed unenthusiastic while filming.
s
Her assistant lowered his head, taking the heat silently. After a moment, he
managed to say, "Miss Wilson, | really did my best..."
Back on Pine Mist Island, Scarlett and Steven had just arrived.
her
The moment she saw Sarah, Scarlett rushed up and gave big hug Sasa! There are so many stars here! Do you
think Lucas Lansworth is coming too? s
"We did try to invite him, but his agency turned it down."
"What? Why'd they say no?" Scarlett's face fell with disappointment.
Sarah couldn't help but laugh.
"Movie actors usually avoid these kinds of public events. It helps them stay a little more distant from the
audience it makes it easier for people to believe them in character. That's why they tend to skip variety shows
and fan events." s
"Oh, that makes sense."
Steven glanced sideways at her, clearly jealous. "What's so great about that Lucas guy? Is he better looking than
me?"
Before Scarlett could answer, Mia dumped a big bag of food into Steven's arms.
"You're the most handsome, okay? If you grill this for us, you'll officially be the hottest guy on the whole island."
Steven groaned. "Stop flattering me. I'd be a lot happier without all this stuff."
Mia quickly pulled Scarlett over. The two of them looked up at Steven with exaggerated puppy-dog eyes.
"Con, Stevie," Mia said sweetly. "You're the best-looking guy here. Please grill for us?"
