Chapter 419
"Hmph, what could she possibly do about it? If she was really that capable, she wouldn't have been so silent
when the police showed up."
As Paul returned from his phone call, he looked at Yolanda with contempt. "It's disgusting how a worthless piece
of trash like her tried to act like she's better than everyone else!"
Frowning, Winnie was about to snap back when she heard the front door of the villa open. Everyone turned to
look as Joe walked in.
Though Joe was the president of Henderson Group, he had not been involved in the counterfeit supplement
scheme. Besides, Diana had kept everything secret from him as she wanted to surprise him. From buying the
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtformula to contracting with pharmaceutical manufacturers and sales, she did everything behind his back. After
being taken to the police station for questioning, Joe was released within thirty minutes.
"What's the situation now?" Harold, Alice, and the others crowded around him.
"Dad, Mom's going to be okay, right?" Yvonne asked anxiously with teary eyes. "It's complicated..." Joe sighed.
He had only been brought in for questioning, so he could not get many details. But he had learned some
information during the process.
"Apparently, they started selling these 'Strong Bones and Muscles Granules' today for the first tat Eleanor's
friend's store. Someone who took them got poisoned and was hospitalized. Their family called the police, and
when officials investigated, they arrested both Diana and Eleanor.
"Not only that, but they've also shut down the pharmaceutical factory that manufactured the supplements for
investigation. This whole thing is spreading wide."
While everyone involved would face consequences, Diana and Eleanor were clearly the primary suspects.
Eleanor bought the formula while Diana invested and contracted the factory, so neither could escape
responsibility. Since Diana was the investor and most contracts were in her name, she bore the main liability.
"But how could health supplements cause poisoning?" Harold asked. He becconfused after hearing the
whole story.
"I'm not sure." Joe rubbed his forehead wearily. "Right now, we just have to hope the poisoned patient pulls
through, or this will get even worse."
Yolanda's expression tightened at these words. Clearly, the problem lay with the counterfeit formula from Miguel
and the substandard ingredients Diana had purchased.
She had planned to gather all the evidence before warning Diana not to sell the products. After all, the proper
procedure required quality testing of samples before official sales. She had not expected Eleanor and Diana to be
so impatient that they would skip the testing process and rush the supplements to market.
"How many units were sold? We need to recall all those fake supplements immediately," Yolanda warned. If
others got sick from these counterfeit health products, nobody would be able to save Diana by then.
"Nobody asked for your input. Stop making things worse!" Paul rolled his eyes at her. "Just shut up if you can't
help!"
"Couldn't Yolanda ask Gavin for help?" Yvonne suddenly suggested.
Everyone paused as they considered this. Since Gavin and the Henderson family had a marriage arrangement,
asking the Savage family for help might be possible too.
"Absolutely not!" Joe immediately refused. That was because the Savage family had issues with the Hendersons
and looked down on them.
