Chapter 422
Yolanda's expression darkened, but she held her tongue. She could easily find out Beatrice's hospital location
with a single phone call.
Right then, her phone rang. She glanced at her phone to find that Jeremy was calling. She got up and stepped
into the foyer before answering. "Hello?"
"Ms. Henderson, do you have a moment?"
"What's wrong? Is there trouble at Cinnamine Pharmaceuticals?" Jeremy calling at this hour usually meant he
needed her help.
"No, no, the company's fine." Jeremy chuckled, then said, "But | do need a favor."

"Go on."
"A close family friend's mother took sover-the-counter supplements and got poisoned. She's in the hospital
now, and the doctors are stumped. Could you help detoxify the poison?"
"This family friend wouldn't happen to be Vic Seinfield, would it?" After hearing Jeremy's description, Yolanda
connected the dots immediately.
"You already know?" Jeremy sounded surprised. He had thought Yolanda was just
a brilliant medical student, but her intelligence network seemed to rival his own.
"I'll be direct with you then. Mr. Seinfield has consulted every top doctor in Riverdale. Dr. Pattinson can't crack it,
and Dr. Davidson is stuck in Creybia for now. You're the only other miracle doctor | could think of.
"Could you cto the district hospital and just take a look at Mrs. Seinfield Senior?"
"I'm on my way." After that, Yolanda changed her shoes and headed out.
In the cab, she texted Winnie that she had to step out and to head hwhen she could. Winnie texted back
almost instantly. She was sharp enough to not press for details.
Half an hour later, Yolanda reached the district hospital. During her ride, she had gotten calls from Blake, Logan,
and others-all asking her to save Beatrice. Clearly, Vic's influence in Riverdale ran deep.
"Ms. Henderson, over here!" Jeremy was waiting at the entrance and hurried over.
"How's Mrs. Seinfield Senior doing?" Yolanda asked as they walked.
"It's bad. The hospital's top specialists are stumped. She's comatose, and her vitals are weakening. Mr.
Seinfield's so desperate he's called in Mr. Zimmerman, the pharmaceutical expert."
Jeremy only knew about the poisoning. He had no idea Diana was behind it, so he had been focused on
contacting Yolanda.
"Just supplement poisoning caused all this?" Diana's expired, substandard herbs could cause severe vomiting,
diarrhea, or dehydration-induced fainting. But just like what happened to Maria, prompt medical attention usually
resolved it quickly. She had initially thought Vic was overreacting about his mother's condition. But seeing
Jeremy's genuine concern made her think twice.
"The toxin's unlike anything they've seen, so the specialists are baffled. The police have the counterfeiters in
custody, but they claim ignorance no matter how hard they're questioned."
Yolanda knew it was not that Diana was being stubborn. She really did not understand what she had done.
"They'll sing a different tune once things get serious!"
