Chapter 424
"He's also a special consultant for Cinnamine Pharmaceuticals. My father pulled sstrings to get him here as
he usually doesn't make house calls.
"He's been wanting to meet you about that formula. But since you weren't interested, he didn't push it."
"So that's Mr. Zimmerman." Yolanda nodded.
"He's not just a pharmaceutical expert. He's brilliant with toxicology too. If anyone can save Beatrice, it's him."
Jeremy looked way more relaxed now that Hunter was here. He had faith in Hunter's skills.

The room fell silent as Hunter began his examination. Terrified of disturbing him, the doctors from the hospital
hardly dared to breathe.
"How is it, Mr. Zimmerman?" Vic asked the moment Hunter finished checking Beatrice's pulse.
"Strange..." Hunter frowned without answering. He pulled out an acupuncture needle and inserted it into an
acupoint on Beatrice's hand. When he removed it, the needle had turned black where it had penetrated.
"This is severe poisoning. Are you certain she only took contaminated supplements?"
"Yes. My mother is usually very careful about what she eats, but she loves buying random health supplements."
Vic's expression was pained. "I couldn't stop her from buying them, but | always had them tested. | got careless
this one time, and this happened."
"This doesn't add up... Even contaminated supplements shouldn't cause this level of toxicity. This formula would
never have gotten FDA approval. It's not a supplement. It's poison!"
A shocked murmur ran through the room. The situation was worse than anyone thought.
"Mr. Zimmerman, forget about that for now. Can you save her?" Vic had pinned all his hopes on Hunter.
"I'm sorry... | can't identify this toxin even with all my years of studying pharmacology." Hunter shook his head
regretfully. "But if we could get the formula from the manufacturers, | might be able to work something out!"
"We got the formula from the suspects, but it's just a basic recipe," Vic said grimly.
"Mr. Seinfield, we think they're hiding the real formula to protect themselves," one of Vic's men stepped forward.
"The authorities are working overton the interrogation, but no results yet."
"Tell them to move faster! If they won't give up the real formula, use whatever means necessary." Vic's eyes
turned cold. "Tell them if that doesn't work, I'll question them myself."
Everyone in the room shuddered. If Vic personally interrogated the suspects, they would likely confess if they
survived.
"She's in real trouble now," Yolanda thought. But something was not adding up.
She had seen Miguel's fake formula. It was problematic, but not lethal with prompt treatment. Even with
substandard ingredients, it should not produce toxins that stumped even Hunter.
Unless...
