"Not at all!" Diana replied cheerfully.

"I'm perfectly fine. They were quite stern at first and asked loads of questions. But maybe they figured things out

later on. They stopped questioningand actually treatedquite well."

"See? That's all thanks to Skylar's help!" Joe and the others gave Skylar grateful looks. They all assumed Diana's

release was due to the Sheriden family's help.

"Diana, you got out so quickly because of Ms. Sheriden's help. Look at Eleanor; she's still locked up! This shows

how serious the situation was. You shouldn't ever buy fake medicine again!"

"I know..." Diana wanted to defend herself but swallowed her words when she saw Joe's expression.

Eleanor had been the one who kept encouraging her by saying they would make a fortune this time. Diana knew

Joe's company had stroubles recently and they needed to be careful with money. She had only agreed to

work with Eleanor in hopes of earning sextra cash for the family.

This time, Eleanor had really gotten her into trouble.

"Thank you, Ms. Sheriden!" Diana sighed. She then turned to hold Skylar's hand and thanked her.

"Don't mention it, it's what | should do! Paul's business is my business..." Skylar was bewildered. Her parents had

refused to help yesterday and said it was not their place to interfere. How did Diana get released overnight?

But Skylar quickly put on a smug expression. "My parents can always handle problems no matter how serious

they are!"

She figured her parents must have felt sorry for her and changed their minds about talking to Vic. Skylar basked

in everyone's praise and gratitude. She felt quite pleased with herself.

Her grades were not great, and her abilities were not outstanding among her family members. That was why she

often got scolded by her parents and grandparents. Being praised and admired by Paul's family made her feel

satisfied with herself.

"We really owe Skylar for this one. Now that Diana's out, we should have a proper family celebration!" Joe said,

reaching for his coat. "Paul, reserve a table at Crystal Palace now. | want to treat Ms. Sheriden to dinner and

welcDiana back!"

"On it! Skylar has a VIP card, so we can skip the queue!" Paul rushed to make the reservation while the living

room buzzed with happy chatter and celebration. No one paid any attention to Yolanda sitting on the couch. They

treated her as if she were invisible.

When the group finally left for dinner, no one bothered to invite her. Yolanda had no desire to join them anyway

and was happy to have speace. Just as she was about to call Jessica to go shopping, she received a call

from Vic.

"Ms. Henderson, | apologize. | was busy taking care of my mother last night and didn't properly thank you!" Vic

got straight to the point. "Are you free for lunch? I've rented out Crystal Palace and would be honored if you'd

join me."

"Don't worry about it, it was nothing." Yolanda politely declined the offer. "You don't have to do that, Mr.

Seinfeld."

"l insist, Ms. Henderson. I've already made the reservation, and I'd feel terrible if you didn't come!" Vic changed

his tone and added, "Besides, I'd like to discuss the poison matter with you."

Yolanda checked the time. "Alright then, I'll head over now."
