Chapter 897 "You dare to talk back to me," Gavin snapped, landing a hard slap on his face.

Even though his cheek stung, he couldn't help but laugh. It was the laugh of someone who'd finally seen the truth-Gavin never truly cared for him at all.

This revelation made him question if he was even Gavin's real son. He started piecing together clues until he overheard a conversation between the Rowland Corporation couple.

Gavin seethed, "Every tI look at him, all I see is Kelly's betrayal. I'd tear him apart if I could. I want Kelly to regret what she did, even in the afterlife." His stepmother chimed in, "Oh, please. If you despise him so much, why keep him around? You can't let go of Kelly. You couldn't have her, so you're taking it out on her son." "That kid is paying off his mother's sins." Gavin was furious, nearly shouting, "I respected her so much, and she humiliated me. If she was heartless, then don't expectto be kind to her son." With time, Gavin grew older and realized he couldn't control the son he had belittled for so long.

During one of Gavin's rants, calling him a bastard, Morris finally stood his ground. Morris looked him in the eye with disdain. "You're a hypocrite." Gavin's hand, gripping the whip, faltered. He was taken aback by the depth in Morris's eyes; they pierced through him like the night sky.

"If you can't stand me, why not selloff? You don't wantaround, right? Then why bringback? Go ahead and sendback to the McCoy family," Morris continued.

Gavin was livid. "What are you saying? You're my son..." "Am I?" Morris challenged, his tone dripping with sarcasm. Then, with a steely edge, he added, "Remember, I owe you nothing. Lay a hand onagain, and don't be surprised if I take the Rowland family down with me." Gavin's bravado crumbled. In Morris's intense gaze, he saw the potential to ruin the Rowland family. "How did you find out?" he stammered.

Morris coolly replied, "Which part? The plan to sell me? Your tax evasion? Or maybe your side affairs?" Gavin was left speechless, retreating in defeat.

After that, whenever Gavin saw Morris, it was as if he were seeing a ghost.

Unable to handle the pressure, he eventually sent Morris back to the McCoy family.

Morris closed his eyes. His early years felt like they were spent paying off his mother's debts. He longed to discover who his real father was, someone his mother deemed worthy enough to betray hero marriage, have a child, and tragically end her life for.

The next day, Morris cdownstairs to find Nathalie waiting for him on the couch.

Nathalie stood up, "Nathan, I've been

thinking. Stewart Enterprise and Vincent Corporation are bound to cross paths. It's better to mend fence than create new battles. So, I'm planning to meet with the chairman of Vincent Corporation today." Morris offered a gentle smile. "Nathalie, are you worried aboutgoing alone?"

Nathalie looked at his leg with concern. "You're not quite mobile yet, and after yesterday's run-in with the Sharp family, I'm worried they might give you a hard time." Morris chuckled, "In that case, Nathalie, you can be my knight in shining armor." Nathalie's expression softened.

At the Sharp family's villa, Nathalie wheeled Morris up to the entrande. The guard stepped forward to greet E them, "Who are you here to see?"
