Aubrey’s POV
After leaving the Lynn estate, | handed the share transfer contract to my father and watched as he
signed it. Under the moonlight, the golden threads woven into the parchment shimmered coldly
used to bind contracts between werewolf families.
When he finally set down the pen, | exhaled deeply.
a sacred mark
It was done. The Mary family’s assets were officially severed from the Lynn family. The legacy my
grandfather left behind would no longer be tainted by their greed.
still, 1 couldn’t help but warn, “Dad, reclaiming these shares wasn’t easy. Don’t let Aurelia trick you
again.”
His face flushed slightly. After a moment’s pause, he looked atand hesitated. “Aubrey... what
you said at the party... was it all true?”
“Of course.” | didn’t even blink.
“Then why didn’t you ever tellbefore?”
His voice sounded strained - a tangle of shand urgency.
I let out a faint laugh. “And if | had? Would you have believed me?”
His shoulders slumped. He knew the answer as well as | did. He had trusted Aurelia and Bailey too
easily, too blindly. His expression fell into a gray kind of remorse, and he choked out an apology.
“I’m sorry, Aubrey. I’ve failed you... and I’ve failed your mother.”
“Enough,” | cut him off. “The past is over. Just be smarter from now on.”
With that, | turned and walked away.
Back at the apartment, | dove into my research for the werewolf medic team. Whether or not Alpha
Henry would support me, this was something | needed to do. | already had a few candidates in
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtmind, drawn from memories of my past life, but I still had more groundwork to lay.
The next morning, | went out for a run. Along the way, | overheard people talking - the old Lynn
family patriarch had fallen ill. They claimed it was because an omega -- had infuriated him.
| couldn’t help but scoff.
Of course they wouldn't waste the chance to smearagain.
“Those two-faced bastards!” Ella growled in my mind. “Their whole damn family should be skinned and strung
from the trees!”
But | didn’t care. | didn’t need a good reputation. | wasn’t trying to be their Luna. | didn’t need their approval.

And there he was.
Alpha Henry.

Chapter 103 The Contract Severed
Standing by the entrance, the ground at his feet littered with cigarette butts clearly, he'd been waiting while
| frowned and walked over slowly. “What are you doing here?”
He looked up atand said steadily, “I found Daria.”
So that’s what he’d been doing all this time?
He found Daria -the werewolf who could prove Mariana’s plagiarism?
“Where?” | asked.
“Get in the car.”.
1 didn’t hesitate.

He droveto Ocean Villa. Once inside, he turned on the massive screen that took up nearly an entire wall and
pulledto the couch beside him.
| was about to ask what was going on when | heard it
Mariana’s voice.
A concert?
My eyes sharpened, locking on the screen. It was one of Mariana’s tour performances - flashy, dazzling, almost
hypnotic. The cheers of the crowd echoed through the room, thunderous beneath the massive display.
“Maybe you were right,” Alpha Henry said quietly. “Mariana... she’s a ruthless woman. | met Daria. | still can’t
believe it she drugged him herself. Stole his voice.”
His eyes darkened. “If she could poison someone, if she could steal someone's art... then how could she possibly
have risked her life to save mine?”
| gave a soft laugh and said nothing, staring at the screen.
Mariana’s face appeared - delicate, angelic and my stomach turned.
This was the woman I had once envied. Then loathed.
Her voice. Her image. Every part of her was a waking nightmare to me.
“Thank you all for coming tonight,” her gentle voice floated through the speakers. “As always, I'll
be performing the closing number.”
The audience erupted in cheers. They called her the dream elf - said no beauty could compare.
She flicked her black sleeve tically and continued.
“Originally, we planned forty-five shows. Unfortunately, due to an emergency back home, tonight
will be the final performance. Tickets for the last show will be fully refunded - I'll personally cover
any losses.”
What?
She was coming back?

Chapter 103 The Contract Sovered
She was actually cutting her tour short?
1 felt my body tremble.
Alpha Henry immediately noticed and frowned. “Aubrey? Are you scared? Are you afraid of her
return?”
No.
My fingers curled into fists, then relaxed.
“I'm excited,” | said.
I’m going to kill her.
