Farrah gave a small nod as her eyes scanned the area. “Where's Ellis? Weren't you two together?”
“Don’t mention it,” Freya said as she matched Farrah’s stride, unknowingly leaving Felipe a few steps behind.
“We just had a fight. | was planning to meet up with Greta afterward to cool off, but her boyfriend showed up and
stopped her just as she was about to leave.”
Farrah’s brow furrowed. “You had a fight? About what?”
She couldn't hide the concern in her voice. To her, Freya and Ellis always seemed like the perfect couple. They'd
been married for years, and everything always seemed smooth between them.
“It’s a long story. We'll have this discussion later.” Freya sounded believable. She stopped walking for a moment
and added, “You two should have fun. I'll cby your place tonight and we can catch up properly.”
“Are you by yourself now?”
“Then I'll keep you company,” Farrah immediately offered.
Felipe was stunned. “What about me?”
“You can go over to Freya's and pick up Isabella,” Farrah said, making her choice without hesitation. After all,
Freya was her favorite person in the world.

Felipe agreed. He reminded them not to stay out too late and then left. As she watched him walk off, Farrah

Ellis felt their schedule was already too full and didn’t like the idea.”
Farrah was puzzled. She couldn't shake the feeling that something didn’t add up. She didn’t know Ellis too well,
but from what she had seen, he always let the kids explore fun activities.
