Alice's showed impatience at Chloe’s appearance. Fate was a real b*tch sometimes! She kept running into
people she didn’t want to see.
Chloe, speaking sweetly, approached.“Alice, you've been gone a while. Luke was worried, so he froze your credit

Alice’s expression was calm. Last time, having her card frozen had been terrible. Now she understood: financial

Alice pulled out her card.“Charge it. I'll try them on later.”
The sidekick yelled at the manager, “We saw them first! We're VIPs!”
The manager replied politely, “Orders take precedence. Miss Alice, even without a VIP card, is a valued
customer.”
“She's been kicked out! She's not an heiress!”
The manager said calmly, “Just a temporary family disagreement. Blood ties are unbreakable.” Alice was still the
only biological daughter.
Chloe cried, “I'll call Luke. She wouldn't let Alice win.
Hearing “unbreakable blood ties,” Alice felt uncomfortable. She wouldn't be bound by blood! She went to the
fitting room.
Outside,
Chloe called Luke, but he didn’t answer; his assistant answered.
Why isn’t Luke answering?”
