"It's you." The disappointment in her tone was unmistakable. Scarlette yanked her hand back, eyes narrowing. "What are you doing here, Zayden?" Zayden had been trailing Scarlette ever since she left, particularly after witnessing her heated argument with Kenji. "You're alone in a city you don't know. I just... I didn't want anything to happen to you." Scarlette didn't want to be around him.
