Chapter 164 I've Always Wanted to Die
Charlotte pressed her dry lips together, her voice raspy as she said, “I will not apologize to Sarah.”
“Mm.”
Arthur replied expressionlessly. “This has nothing to do with you.”
Charlotte's heart remained calm.
She could not understand why he was not holding her responsible for hitting Sarah, but she was not going to
back down on this issue.
Charlotte hung up the phone without hesitation.

Jayce tucked his phone away, his face unreadable. “Why did you jump out of the car?”
Charlotte gave tug at her lips. “Maybe | lost my mind.”
In that moment, a surge of emotions overwhelmed her. All she wanted was to escape, to get as far away as
possible, and without hesitation, she jumped.
Jayce gazed at her with a detached look. “I have always wanted to die too.”

Jayce continued, “But Grandpa depends on me. If | die, he will die too. | want to end it quietly, on my own. |
would be a sinner if others get caught up in it.”
A blank expression crossed Charlotte’s face. “I...never wanted to die.”
Jayce then asked, “Then why did you jump?”
Charlotte was silent for a while before speaking.
“I am sorry. | made a mistake.”
She could not grasp his reasoning, and he could not understand hers, so arguing seemed pointless.
“Mm.”
Jayce replied flatly. “You owean apology for wasting my time.”
Delia looked conflicted.
She wanted to put an end to Jayce’s unreasonable behavior, but oddly, she felt srelief. Jayce rarely spoke a
word in a day, yet when it cto Charlotte, he seemed to have so much to say.
Even if his words were frustrating, at least he shared his
thoughts.

Upon hearing that, Jayce frowned and quickly turned to leave. A moment later, a doctor walked in behind him.
“She says she is experiencing a headache.” Jayce spoke succinctly.
Charlotte was silent.
The doctor quickly approached and began examining her.
Charlotte felt uneasy. She just did not want to explain why she had jumped out of the car.
After a brief check, the doctor said, “There is nothing serious. The impact will cause intermittent headaches, but
they should go away after a couple of days of rest.”
Charlotte said, “Thank you, Doctor.”
As soon as the doctor left, the ward becsilent.
Jayce sat in the chair, his eyes cast down, his presence almost invisible.

Delia asked, “Mrs. Harrison, are you experiencing any other discomfort? Is there anything I can help you with?”
“It is fine, thank you,”
Chapter 164 ve Always Wanted to Die Charlotte gave a faint smile, then pulled out her phone to call Diana.
About twenty minutes later, Diana arrived.
“What happened?”
Diana frowned upon seeing Charlotte's condition and quickly asked.
Delia explained the situation.

Diana’s expression hardened, but she remained polite. “Thank you both. | will take care of her now. If you have
other matters to attend to, please don’t feel obliged to stay.”
Delia nodded with a smile, then walked over to Jayce. “Mr. Caldwell, let's go.”
Jayce stood up silently and walked toward the door.
As he reached the door, he suddenly turned around and gazed at Charlotte. “If you ever want to die, let me
know. We can die together.”
With that, he turned and left.
Charlotte was left speechless.
